Thresholds: Ceramic Furniture

  • Detroit Artists Market (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

A featured exhibition for the NCECA Detroit conference. Thresholds is an exhibition that positions ceramic furniture as a critical mediator in the dialogue between the volume of the human body and architectural space. 13 artists offer innovative interpretations that bridge the realms of contemporary art and design, drawing inspiration from their histories and challenging visitors to see ceramic furniture not only as support objects, but as spatial propositions—embodied intersections of form, function, time and place. Featuring Olivia Cognet, Beth Katleman, Ian MacDonald, Dee Chalmers, Austin Coudriet, Kelsie Rudolph, Rachel Heibel, Abigail Murray, Yuko Nishikawa, Josephine Larsen, Hayden Richer, Victoria Shaheen and Kate Tremel.

Detroit Artist Market, 4719 Woodward Avenue Detroit, MI 48201, March 10-28, 2026.

Gallery Hours Tue-Sat 11-6pm. Reception: Thursday, March 26, 6-9pm. (313) 832-8540
